
The 2025 WTA Finals was a professional women’s year-end championship tennis tournament that was organized from 1 to 8 November 2025 by the Women’s Tennis Association (WTA). It was held in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia for the second straight year and was the 54th edition of the singles event and the 49th edition of the doubles competition. The tournament was contested by the eight highest-ranked singles players and doubles teams of the 2025 WTA Tour.

QUALIFIED PLAYERS
Elena Rybakina defeated Aryna Sabalenka in the final: 6–3, 7–6^(7-0).
With this win, Rybakina became the first player representing Kazakhstan (and first representing an Asian country) to win the WTA Finals. She went undefeated in the week.
Prize money: With her undefeated run she earned approximately US$5.235 million, a record for women’s tennis at a single event!
Sabalenka, despite losing the final, finished the year as world No. 1 again.
The WTA Finals is often called the “fifth major” in terms of prestige for the season-ending event.
Winning it signifies you were among the very best over the year and can cap a strong season — for Rybakina, this is a major milestone.
The large prize-money and ranking points make it a pivotal event for players’ year-end positions and their momentum heading into the next season.
Meanwhile, thanks to Djokovic withdrawing from the event (due to a shoulder injury), Musetti entered the ATP Finals in Turin as a substitute.
Although he did not secure the qualification purely by his own results, he nonetheless participates in the 2025 ATP Finals.
It will be his debut at this prestigious year-end event in singles!
